US OPEN 2020 Picks

Last week, we had some early successes that we are going to try and build upon. If 

While Kristoffer Ventura, Chez Reavie, Bud Cauley didn't win the event, their presence at the top of the leaderboard was felt in the wallet leading to a great start for our picks. 

As it is in fact a major this week, there will be a ton more picks this week with a couple different variations.

With the fact that it is a major, the odds are aligning for a very favorite heavy event so in terms of value, we're gonna have to do some digging.

​Players To Look Out For

Jon Rahm 9/1 - Even with the fact that he is the second favorite player in the field, it is so hard to pick against Rahm. The US Open requires all aspects of a players game for them to succeed and that is exactly what Rahm has been doing. In what will be a tournament will have firm conditions, Rahm have the most success in these conditions more so than any other player. Hold your nose, take Rahm to win and take the nine to one payout.

Patrick Reed 30/1 - Reed is one of those guys who you will not see a lot of coverage on, he will most likely struggle early on and just chip away at the leaderboard and get close to the top of the leaderboard early on Sunday and remain there as the rest of the groups struggle as the day goes on. Reed should be good for a Top 20 or Top 10 bet.  

Patrick Cantlay 35/1 - A player who certainly could win this week, Cantlay who has not had his best golf for his previous US Open's, is destined for greatness at one of these eventually. For the 11th best player in the world, 35 to 1 is too large of odds to ignore. Placing on Cantlay to win, as well as Top 5, and Top 10 bets should be the play.

Longshots

Will Zalatoris 200/1 - Zalatoris has been lighting up the Korn Ferry Tour this season. The 24 year old is currently leading the standings of the Korn Ferry points list by almost 400 points and is going to play on the PGA Tour next year. The Wake Forest grad has not finished outside of the Top 20 since February with 8 of those results in the Top 10. A comfy pairing of his roommate Davis Riley should be able to spur Zalatoris to a made cut, as well as even a Top 20.

Rasmus Hojgaard 200/ 1- The European Tour's counterpart to Will Zalatoris, Hojgaard in his last 8 starts has finished inside the top six, six times with one win. While this will be Hojgaard's first major the man from Denmark is already setting himself for high expectations. With the obvious comparisons to Zalatoris, he should be bet the same way with a made cut bet,  as well as a Top 20.
